If you are following me on instagram, you probably already know that I was recently in Portugal with my boyfriend Simon. We didn't see a cloud in the sky for two full weeks, soaked up every ounce of sunshine we could get, walked a ton and took too many photos! Here are 6 decor accents that totally remind me of our trip.
1. Bunny Side Chair
This chair has just enough geometric interest and its bright color is just as welcoming as the homes painted yellow in the small town of Afurada De Baixo. By the way- best smoked sardines are at Taberna do lao Pedro.
2. Kiri Fish Bowl
Oh for all the fresh fish I got to eat! YUM.
3. Oversize Seagrass Basket
All the wicker furniture at the restaurant I fell in love with in Porto: Flow.
Ok I know it's starting to sound like I basically just ate the whole trip but I swear it's not the case.. or is it? :)
4. Miradouro tile
Don't worry, I could have never forgotten to include a classic Portuguese tiles. I picked up a few authentic ones from a market as souvenirs. So much old world character!
5. Artificial Baby Cycas Palm
Mostly brings me back to a day we spent in Sintra, just a 30min train ride away from our Airbnb in Lisbon. These short palm trees are everywhere and mix with other gorgeous greens and old palaces. It's pretty magical.
6. Swallow Art
Or andorinha in Portuguese as we learnt in Porto. These little staples are often an inspiration to local artists. We brought back a ceramic one from A Vida Portuguesa.
